UVAS Lahore and Pakistan Dairy Association (PDA) have signed a MoU to train new investors and progressive dairy farmers. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad and Dean FAPT, Prof. Dr. Anjum Khalique from UVAS and PDA Senior Vice-Chairman Syed Mazhar Iqbal and Director Dr M Zubair Khan signed the MoU in a ceremony held on the UVAS City Campus.

Minister for Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Dept. Sardar Husnain Bahadur Dareshak chaired the MoU signing ceremony while PDA CEO Dr Shahzad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Rabbani, Veterinary Academy Director Dr M Ikram, senior UVAS faculty members and PDA officials were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Minister L&DD said that it was direly needed to develop trained HR, adopt best innovative farming practices and curb bottlenecks for the development of dairy sector.

Prof. Dr Nasim Ahmad said that UVAS had outstanding dairy faculty for imparting the best practical knowledge and hands-on skills to field professionals and dairy farmers to develop the dairy sector. The focus of trainings is to bring enormous impact in the field. Prof. Dr. Masood Rabbani said that UVAS had been working very closely with agrifood industries to solve their problems by using knowledge and skills and also focusing on promoting the academia-industry linkages.
